As a councilor for four years he went above and beyond the normal call of duty, delivering exceptional results and providing superior mentioning to fellow colleagues. He also has served as a member of the Brigus Volunteer Fire Brigade, with two years as Fire Chief.

Gerald is well known and well respected in the community and gives fully of himself for the betterment of everyone around him. He has not only been a passionate volunteer and leader, but he has mentored and inspired many others to also give of their time to help strengthen their community.
